Steam Hit Thronefall Gets Full-Version Release Date And Switch Port
Both will arrive next month.
Thronefall will leave Steam Early Access on October 11 for the full release of the minimalist strategy game. But that's not all. Along with that launch, Thronefall will also arrive on Nintendo Switch at the same time.
Developer Grizzly Games highlighted that Thronefall has already sold just under 1 million copies on Steam since hitting Early Access in August 2023. On top of that, the strategy game also sports an Overwhelmingly Positive status on the storefront with over 14,500 reviews.

The full release brings three new levels--Moorweg, Freifort, and Totend--to Thronefall that include new enemies and boss fights. That means there are now 10 levels in the strategy game, with the campaign taking most players 8-12 hours, per Grizzly Games. This update also offers new equipment and quality-of-life improvements.
In addition to the campaign, there is a roguelike mode in Thronefall, too. The game sees players building their bases and armies during the day and then taking on hordes of enemies at nightfall. Grizzly notes that players can also charge into the conflicts themselves, if they so wish. Successfully surviving the darkness and baddies leads to the ability to pick out new weapons and perks.
Before Thronefall, Grizzly previously worked on Superflight and Islanders. The latter surprise-launched on Switch back in 2021 alongside Axiom Verge 2 after a Nintendo Indie World stream.
