PlayStation Plus Free Games For October 2024 Revealed

Here are all the Doki Doki details on October's games.

Sony has announced the October 2024 free games arriving for PlayStation Plus subscribers across all tiers. On October 1, you can download and play Doki Doki Literature Club Plus, Dead Space, and WWE 2K24 for free.

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus is a subversive visual novel that is best played with as little preparation or knowledge as possible. Even if you aren't usually a fan of the genre, just trust us: This one is much more than meets the eye.

Dead Space is a remake of the hit survival-horror game, mixing science-fiction and gory horror together to brilliant effect. The game's controls and mechanics have been overhauled to better align with modern standards, but the story remains almost entirely the same.

WWE 2K24 will also be free in October. The wrestling series has seen some pretty big peaks and valleys in recent years, but the latest entry shows it appears to be closer to a peak than a valley.

All of these games will be available on October 1. Be sure to download September's freebies before they're gone.

Dead Space Remake was ok. I played it through EA's XBOX GP Service. Haven't played Wrestling since the OG SNES days, lol.

I wonder if WWE 2K24 is same as 2K23 besides the updated roster and game modes. Definitely checking it out next week as I was going to buy it for Christmas but free is better.

Finally, a couple of worthwhile titles getting offered. I haven't played a WWE game since 2K19. Looking forward to finally upgrading to the latest game. However, I no longer follow the product, so legends will take up most of my time.

Dead Space was an interesting title "back then", but I wasn't too keen on playing it.

When I first played Doki Doki Literature Club, I gave up about half an hour into it, finding it boring. But later on I watched the Game Theorists play it (Matt and Stephanie Patrick), and they made it hilarious.

It doesn't take much beyond where I quit playing for it to get going, and Matt and Steph inspired me to finally finish playing it myself, which I've since done on both PC and PlayStation.

Give it a chance, push through the first half hour, and ignore the fact that it seems like a dating sim in the beginning. It's much more than that.

If you're trying out DDLC, you need to give it a bit before it does its thing. But once it turns, it's a sharp turn.

Been looking at picking up dead space so seems like a win for me. I haven’t played a wrestling game since about 1998, but i did love NES Pro Wrestling. Love me some fighter hyabusa and starman. Don’t know about the other one

@PSP107: One of the best games ever!!! I bought a Japanese converter from some game store in NYC and the Japanese release of (IIRC) WCWvNWO world tour. the converter & game came with something like 70 extra wrestlers (some Japanese and different versions of WCW wrestlers ). all my friends and cousins would come over and love playing these different extra wrestlers. WCW/NWO Revenge was also an awesome game. wish I never got rid of that system, converter and game.

Doki Doki is a trip. You’ll probably hear people say it’s censored on PlayStation, but, while I haven’t played it on any other platforms, Googling it shows that only a single scene in the game has been altered, and they only changed a color. I don’t want to give any spoilers, so I’ll leave it at that, but that’s literally the only “censorship.” It’s still a dumb change, but not enough to listen to people who say, “Stay away from the PlayStation version, because it’s censored.”
